Throughout the program, you’ll receive hands-on training from former traders and researchers, expand your knowledge on options theory, and sharpen your instincts through live-market simulations. You’ll also team up with fellow interns on a high-impact research project, tackling real trading challenges from day one.
Dive deep into trading fundamentals, starting with an options theory course led by our education team of former traders and researchers. Develop the quantitative reasoning and market context behind every price and every decision.
Define a clear, testable hypothesis. Decide which ideas to prioritise and why, balancing depth against breadth before you write a line of code.
Work with real market datasets. Clean, explore and visualise the data, then stress-test your assumptions before building on them.
Implement your strategy in Python and run it against historical market data. Learn what holds up out of sample, what breaks and why.
Document your reasoning and present your findings. How you think matters as much as your results.
How you apply those skills depends on the project. Some focus on building systematic trading strategies from scratch, others on research-driven analysis of specific markets and instruments. Here are examples of what they can look like.
Options are priced across a surface of strikes, expirations and volatility conditions, and the pricing doesn't always reflect what's coming next. You'll work with real market data to study these dynamics and design a systematic strategy to trade around them.
Build a predictive model for equity index futures using real market data. You'll explore signals in market microstructure, apply machine learning techniques, and work as a team to turn data into a trading strategy.
