People Data Analyst

Optiver is looking for an experienced People Data Analyst to join our APAC People Data team and deliver meaningful insight across the employee lifecycle. In this role, you will design and deliver reporting solutions, support cyclical HR and recruitment processes, and partner with People function stakeholders to turn complex workforce data into clear, actionable analysis. The ideal candidate brings solid People Analytics experience, strong technical capability, and the ability to work independently across a broad analytical remit.

What you’ll do

Being part of the APAC People Data team at Optiver means turning complex workforce data into clear, actionable insight that helps our People team make better decisions. You will work across reporting, analysis, data governance, and cyclical project support, executing independently across your domain and building strong relationships with People function stakeholders. You can expect to:

  • Contribute to and evolve the APAC People data reporting suite, building and maintaining interactive dashboards and self-service tools that drive insight across the employee lifecycle
  • Deliver workforce analysis that goes beyond standard reporting — applying sound judgement to surface meaningful trends, patterns, and recommendations that inform People decision-making
  • Serve as a trusted partner for cyclical HR processes, ensuring accurate and timely data to support planning, performance, engagement, and reward cycles
  • Partner with People function stakeholders across APAC, translating their questions into analytical approaches and communicating findings clearly
  • Support cross-functional projects from a data perspective, contributing analytical input and requirements throughout delivery
  • Contribute to People data governance initiatives including metric definition and standardisation, working with global counterparts to ensure regional consistency
  • Take ownership of individual deliverables and small-to-medium projects within the domain, improving processes and simplifying workflows to increase team efficiency
  • Operate as a contributing member of the global People Data CoE, engaging with shared standards and cross-regional data initiatives

Who you are

In terms of skills and qualifications, we're looking for:

  • 5-8 years of experience in People/Recruitment Analytics;
  • Proficient in SQL with hands-on Workday experience required; exposure to Databricks and Python is a strong advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of turning complex data challenges into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Experience designing and delivering People and/or Recruitment analytics dashboards, reports, and self-service tools using Tableau or equivalent BI platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, automate repetitive workflows, and scale data output
  • Solid understanding of data governance principles and how they apply in a People data context
  • A proven ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders across multiple functions and locations
  • Strong communicator with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for a non-technical audience
  • Proven ability to prioritise and manage your own workload
  • High attention to detail with a rigorous approach to accuracy and data integrity
