Optiver is looking for an experienced APAC People Data Lead to own the regional People data function and serve as the primary analytical partner to our APAC People team. In this role, you will turn complex workforce data into clear, actionable insight that drives better decisions across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings deep People Analytics expertise, strong technical capability, and a proven ability to influence and advise at a senior level.

What you’ll do
Being the APAC People Data Lead at Optiver is not just about building dashboards or running reports. You will be the go-to person for People data across the region, turning complex workforce data into clear, actionable insight that helps our People team make better decisions. Your work will span reporting, strategic analysis, data governance, and cross-functional project support, leveraging AI and modern tooling to deliver at pace and scale. You can expect to:
- Own and evolve the APAC People data function, spanning HR, recruitment, and marketing data domains across the region
- Design, deliver, and own the regional People data reporting suite, including interactive dashboards and self-service tools that drive insight across all aspects of the employee lifecycle
- Drive workforce analysis that goes beyond reporting to generate strategic insight and inform People decision-making
- Serve as the data SME for cyclical HR processes, ensuring accurate and timely data to support planning, performance, engagement and reward cycles
- Act as the People data SME on cross-functional projects, providing data expertise, requirements input, and analytical support from initiation through to delivery
- Lead People data governance initiatives including the definition and standardisation of key metrics, working with global counterparts to ensure consistency across regions
- Act as the primary data partner for the APAC People function, advising on analytical approaches and metric interpretation
- Operate as the APAC lead within the global People data CoE, contributing to shared standards, capability uplift, and cross-regional data initiatives
Who you are
In terms of skills and qualifications, we're looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in People Analytics; experience managing or leading a team is highly regarded
- Proficient in SQL with hands-on Workday experience required; exposure to Databricks and Python is a strong advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of turning complex data challenges into clear, actionable recommendations
- Experience designing and delivering People analytics dashboards, reports, and self-service tools using Tableau or equivalent BI platforms
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, automate repetitive workflows, and scale data output
- Solid understanding of data governance principles and how they apply in a People data context
- A proven ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders across multiple functions and locations
- Strong communicator with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for a non-technical audience
- Self-directed with a track record of owning and delivering initiatives end-to-end
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage your own workload and, where applicable, that of a team in a fast-moving environment with competing demands
- High attention to detail with a rigorous approach to accuracy and data integrity
