Procurement Operations Manager

Optiver is seeking a Procurement Operations Manager to help build the foundations of our global Req-to-Pay (R2P) operating system. 2026 is our foundation year - the year we stabilize day-to-day req-to-pay, get our data clean, and put the building blocks in place for an AI-first procurement function that can scale globally in 2027.

This role is central to two things at once: making sure procurement runs smoothly every day in Amsterdam, and helping shape the AI, automation, and data work that will redefine how Optiver buys. Procurement enables Optiver's business strategy by making sure stakeholders have what they need, when they need it, always at the right price - and increasingly, with AI doing the heavy lifting behind the scenes.

As a Procurement Operations Manager, you will own the operational oversight of Amsterdam procurement while playing a meaningful role in a global program co-owned by Procurement and Finance. You will work closely with Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, Legal, and business teams to stabilize operations, improve data quality, embed AI into our ways of working, and provide data-driven insights that enable better decision-making.

What you'll do

  • Contribute to the Global R2P Program - Plug into our five-pillar global Req-to-Pay portfolio (Stabilize R2P, Data & Visibility, Ways of Working, AI/Tech/Automation, Adoption & Change), co-owned by Procurement and Finance. Lead or co-lead initiatives that streamline processes, embed automation, and unlock efficiency at scale across regions. 2026 is our foundation year - what you help build now lays the groundwork for global scale in 2027.
  • Embed AI, Tech & Automation - Help embed AI into our ways of working. Contribute to AI-First R2P initiatives: AI-driven smart intake and orchestration, agentic invoice intake, and automation that removes manual touchpoints. Build local AI prototypes (we already do this in Claude Code) and help shape what is ready to scale globally with the right governance, integrations, and controls. One of the most exciting parts of the role - and a growing one.
  • Own European Operations - Local Change & Stakeholder Management - Own end-to-end operational oversight of the Amsterdam / Europe R2P landscape: PO health, requisitions, approvals, invoice reconciliation, and exception management. Be the local face of Procurement for European stakeholders - driving change adoption, embedding new ways of working, and acting as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on the process to purchase, approve, renew, and reconcile spend. Drive the European regional PO rollout toward our 2026 target of 90% PO-backed addressable spend.
  • Shape Local Data Quality & Reporting - Be locally accountable for clean and accurate procurement data across Coupa and downstream systems for the European footprint. Support vendor master cleanup, mandatory field discipline, cost center accuracy, and the stewardship model so Procurement data is trusted by Finance and feeds our Databricks KPI pack. Build and deliver spend reports, dashboards, and insights for European stakeholders — clean data is what makes AI-readiness real.
  • Drive Local Supplier Enablement - Act as first-line support for supplier enablement in Europe: Coupa Supplier Portal onboarding, invoicing adoption, catalog enablement, billing questions, and purchase-to-pay process issues. Drive prompt yet sustainable resolutions and help us hit the top-50-suppliers-live milestone.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in operations, business, supply chain, finance, or related field.
  • 3-7 years' experience in operations, with focus in procurement, supply chain, finance, or consulting.
  • Experience building or improving processes with an eye for simplicity, efficiency, and scalability across regions.
  • Hands-on experience building or deploying AI-powered agents, prompts, or automated solutions to optimize business processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity – you understand the impact of bad data on both reporting and AI.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills; able to balance daily operational ownership with broader improvement projects.
  • Proactive problem solver who can identify, escalate, propose, and resolve operational inefficiencies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - comfortable working across Procurement, Finance, AP, Legal, and business teams.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, technical environment

Great to have:

  • You’ve shipped solutions using Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
  • Experience working with business intelligence or data analytics teams.
