As an active participant on the Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan exchanges, we act as Optiver’s APAC head office. Since 1996, our Sydney location has gone from five traders to more than 300 driven, dedicated team members from all over the world. 


This is your opportunity to be directly involved in financial markets and a dynamic trading environment. You’ll be part of a collaborative and fast-paced team, that supports users across APAC on a wide range of solutions and projects. As a natural problem solver, you’ll combine your knowledge in IT systems, third party platforms, market data, project management and vendor management to solve unexpected business issues. Some of your responsibilities' will include: 

  • Managing and improving our market data operational processes
  • Building and maintaining key internal relationships
  • Reviewing relevant contractual obligations and liaising with Legal, Compliance and other relevant teams to ensure data usage risk is mitigated
  • Supporting the management of our vendor relationships, contracts and price governance


Optiver needs our next Market Data Analyst to be someone with:

  • 2+ years of experience in managing market data operational processes, including inventory, billing and user management
  • Familiar with reviewing and negotiating legal documents, and understand any implication to our internal landscape
  • Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge with exchange-traded markets
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, problem focused, and results orientated environment
