What you'll do:

As a member of the Compliance team at Optiver Europe, the aim of your job is to contribute and help to continuously improve our regulatory and trading advisory framework.

Your job will ultimately be what you make of it, but your tasks and responsibilities will at least include:

  • Contribute to the process of and execute various tasks relating to our staff onboarding and registrations as well as provide support to and work closely with our HR department in these topics;
  • Take the lead in the training on, implementation and continuous monitoring of our Personal Investments Policy where you’ll be our internal expert for all matters around this Policy;
  • Take the lead in maintaining our internal knowledge database;
  • Provide support in our AML framework, onboarding/due diligence process and unusual transactions monitoring;
  • Provide (support in) training of our staff on various compliance topics such as AML, Market Abuse, etc.;
  • Support in drafting compliance policies and guidance for the firm as well as implementation of compliance processes;
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of business and compliance processes;
  • Help our team and Optiver to become even more successful with all the unique qualities and talents that you bring, just as you are!

Who you are:

  • Academic degree in Law, Economics and/or Business Administration with up to approximately 2 years of (relevant) working experience;
  • A keen interest in and affinity with financial markets, trading and technology;
  • Knowledge of and/or keen interest in relevant EU regulations mainly: Wft, AML/Wwft and/or MiFID/MiFIR;
  • Strong sense of integrity;
  • An analytical, investigative and curious mind that is always striving for improvement;
  • A ‘can do’ mentality where you’ll roll up your sleeves and take on all tasks that come your way, because you realize that Optiver is an amazing place where you can really kickstart your career;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English, with other languages as a plus;
  • Sense of humour and a personality that may enrich our divers culture even more.
