WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a member of our Options IT team, you'll work directly with the very best Traders and Software Engineers to provide cutting edge solutions in Tableau. This is a hands-on, high impact role where you will be expected to deliver sophisticated, professional and performant dashboards and reports. Other responsibilities include:

  • Combining data analytics, complex user interaction, and ultimate performance to drive the development of Tableau in accordance with business requirements. 
  • Owning the ETL pipelines, ensuring code quality and providing guidance to other developers on best practices.
  • Continuously enhancing user experience by developing intuitive, advanced visualisation and analytical solutions.
  • Being involved in all project stages: idea generation, design, implementation, and maintainability.
  • Promoting & driving innovation by actively advocating for data solution improvements.
  • Ensuring quality programming, system testing and documentation to promote long term maintainability.


WHO YOU ARE

Optiver needs our next Senior Tableau Developer to be someone who has:

  • 5+ years of experience with Tableau content creation and advanced functionalities.  
  • Experience working with large data sets to build interactive analytical dashboards, reports, and visualisations. 
  • Proven ability building and managing ETL pipelines, including automated data validation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting & problem-solving skills.
  • Involvement in projects from conception to completion; responsible for project scope definition, gathering requirements, development, maintenance, and system support of existing in-house systems.
  • Experience making recommendations on solutions, design and approach.
  • Strong SQL and Python experience. 
  • Experience with Tableau Server administration (desirable but not essential). 
  •
