Are you looking for a part-time position in a dynamic and highly international work environment? Optiver is currently looking for a student to support the Finance team with administrative responsibilities on a part-time basis.

What you’ll do

The Finance team has a wide range of responsibilities, ranging from accounts payable to month-end closing for financial accounting and management information purposes. As a leading global electronic market-maker we excel in Trading and Tech to continue our growth path. In order to support and enable this growth pace we have started to optimize the business support function of Finance, improving processes and applications. With the goal to enable our business to keep growing at a high pace.

As strong believers of continuous development of both the organization and individuals it is also our goal to improve the team dynamics. Ultimately forging a team that is self-sufficient in its daily operations and continuously provides its own natural successors for all positions. Providing a learning and growth experience on both technical capabilities and soft skills for all team members.

We are looking for a pro-active and well-structured Assistant to join our Finance team on a part-time basis. As an Assistant we will enable you to get insight into some of the core financial processes. Initially focusing on payments, general accounting and reporting. Working in our team you will get a taste of what it is like to work in an international and fast-pace environment.

As our new Assistant your responsibilities are related to the accounts payable process and may include (amongst others):

  • Processing of invoices;
  • Preparing payments;
  • Processing bank statements;
  • Preparing accounting entries;
  • Preparing management information;
  • Assisting in the monthly financial close process.


What you’ll need

  • Currently studying Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent as a Bachelor or Master;
  • Available for a minimum of 12 hours per week;
  • Proven record of academic excellence;
  • A detail-oriented and analytical mindset;
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English;
  • Intermediate level of Dutch.
