Senior Windows Administrator
What you'll do
The Senior Windows Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations and processes of the Windows server platform, as well as handlings projects inside the IT department. The server platform consists of Windows 2000/2003 servers with Microsoft en company specific applications. Monitoring of server software, hardware and processes is also a task of the Windows Administrator. Problems which occur in the infrastructure will have to be forwarded to the Change Management Team.
Tasks
- Keeping Windows server systems available on the various locations
- Maintain the company’s primary processes (eg Windows based client-server trading applications) on Windows systems
- Handle projects
- Participate in morning checks for operational contingency
- Technical contact for the departments Development and Support
- Support the other Windows Administrator team members, coach junior team members
What we need
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft server systems on MCSE level
- Knowledge of MS SQL
- Knowledge of MS related products like IIS, Exchange etc
- Experience with virtualization and clustering
- Minimum of 5 years work experience at this level
- Knowledge of networks and network protocols
- Knowledge of server hardware
- Knowledge of ITIL
- Knowledge of the ‘financial world’ preferred
- Good communication skills
- Analytical
