Business Acquisition Manager

We’re looking for a Business Acquisition Manager to control our order flow with direct line access to our external trading counterparties, such as banks, hedge funds and pension funds. You may be just the candidate we’re looking for.

What you’ll do
As Business Acquisition Manager, you will control our order flow. And by dealing directly with our external trading counterparties, you will be able to deliver maximum value to our business contacts. Much more than just trading, you will foster relationships that translate into exponential future growth. You will need the personality, drive and ambition to maintain key international relationships, manage large portfolios, make effective decisions and handle demanding workloads responsibly.

You will focus primarily on establishing and developing new relationships with trading counterparties and managing the trades that result from those relationships. As such, you will be required to travel regularly to maintain regular contact with these counterparties. To succeed in this challenging job, it is important that you thrive on the challenge of pursuing and negotiating valuable relationships with potential trading counterparties. This demands the determination to pursue solutions despite obstacles. You will need the personality, skills and strength of a superb sales(wo)man, and the confidence to know that you can achieve your trading objectives.

The position begins with a six-month, hands-on training period during which you will learn and practise the skills you need to perform. When your training is complete, you will begin working independently and you will be expected to manage your responsibilities proactively. Although your role is autonomous, you will have a close relationship with our Market Makers and Wholesale Traders, and your decisions will impact your colleagues, as well as the company’s overall performance.

As the newest member of our growing team, we will have high expectations for your performance, and we will value the contribution you make with your unique set of sales and relationship-building skills.

What we need

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (university level);
  • At least 2-3 years of trading related experience;
  • A strong affinity for finance and financial markets and a ‘numbers-orientated’ character;
  • Excellent social and communication skills;
  • Significant experience in sales and relationship management;
  • The ability to interpret data, solve problems and make decisions under pressure;
  • A driven and ambitious personality that thrives in a fast-paced environment;
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a talent for growing business in new directions;
  • Flexible attitude to international travel;
  • An eye for accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Fluency in English (fluency in French, Italian, German or Spanish is a plus);
  • The willingness to embrace a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
