BUSINESS OPERATIONS

Our Business Operations departments support Trading and IT. We look to Business Operations for our decisions regarding structure and future development. They are, without doubt, the key to our success in a highly competitive and rapidly changing environment.

Market Structure
This department maintains our third-party relationships, and builds our financial industry networks. The team sets up new activities and products on exchanges. To do their job well, it’s imperative that they share knowledge and expertise freely with Trading, IT and other Business Operations departments. The team also meets and works with people inside and outside the company.

Market and Credit Risk
We look to the Market & Credit Risk team to monitor and control the market/credit risk of our trading activities. By quantifying risk exposures, setting trading limits and developing risk models, they ensure that no position is over-exposed and help ensure our viability.

Operational Risk and Compliance
At Optiver, we make ethical decisions and always act with the greatest respect for finance-industry rules and regulations. Our Compliance department makes sure we uphold the regulations in every region in which we operate.

Human Resources
HR looks after internal communications and branding, recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, international transfers, employee relations, Industrial Relations and Occupational Health and Safety.

Office Support & Facility
At Optiver, we work together to achieve results that produce the best results for all parties. The Office Support & Facility teams give our people the support they need to do their jobs well and take Optiver to new heights.

CONTROL

Finance
Finance manages all financial and tax matters. They also ensure that financial reporting (exchange-regulatory-corporate-tax) obligations are met.

Middle office
Middle Office connects Optiver's front and back office activities. The team mainly deals with position analysis, portfolio valuations and credit limits.

Legal
Our Legal team advises us on general law, negotiates contractual obligations, reviews and drafts legal agreements of all types and advises us on business structure issues.
